English through films: Good Fortune (2025) discussion, vocabulary, character analysis, and speaking practice for intermediate and advanced English learners.
Have you seen Good Fortune (2025), also known as Везунчики?
Recently, I recorded a film discussion entirely in English, where I talk about the characters, themes, memorable scenes, and my overall impression of the film. If you’re learning English and enjoy discussing films, this is a great opportunity to combine language learning with entertainment.
Why discuss films in English?
Films expose us to natural language, different accents, humour, and cultural references. They also provide excellent conversation topics and help us move beyond textbook English.
When discussing a film, we naturally practise:
- expressing opinions
- describing characters
- talking about emotions
- agreeing and disagreeing
- analysing themes and ideas
